How Do I Change A PNG File So I Can Use Them As Desktop Items?

Yeh, Cos i downloaded some png files but i want 2 use them as Desktop Items BUT it keeps saying there is no icn or whatever in this file...HELP PLEASE !

kk first you need a image resizer look it up on google try adobe photoshop and risize the image to 128 x 128 pixels

then rename it from (name).png to (name).ico
