Many Of the Programs won't run in Windows XP?

Question

I don't know why but many of the programs won't run in Windows XP
For Example: Run, Search, Help and Support, Set Program Access and
Defaults, Won't work
But when I click on one of those programs
it says ' Windows Can't Create a Shortcut here, Do you want the Shortcut to be placed on the Desktop instead? '


How can I Fix this Problem?

You need to repair your XP installation. Your Registry is corrupt.

If you have the XP CD, you might be able to fix it like that. If not, reformat...

i would do a full system restore shut down your computer

and select f8 i think and follow the instructions to restore the system
