You most likely are downloading a media file to your desktop, the shortcut icon for media player is the result of the media player being the default program to be used for this program type.

My guess is that you are downloading all attachments to your desktop. You should download all files in your root drive and inside folders that are named in a manner that makes sense to you. If you use Windows you should create a folder off: My Documents named downloads and organize from there.

You ought to be careful downloading attachments from emails, it could be a virus you're downloading and you're not realizing.

Make sure your anti virus is reliable enough to scan email attachments before downloading them, some files can be binded with a virus to make it look legitimate when it's not.

look in start up>administration Panel>gadget>gadget manager> and also you'll see a gadget tree. search for Yellow or red flags on the tree. they many times propose lacking or damaged drivers. if you're lacking motherboard drivers, flow to Asus. if you're lacking video drivers, flow to Sapphire or AMD and procure/installation. No flags skill each and every thing is robust. If no flags are found, flow to start up>administration Panel>Sound> and be particular you've the most appropriate sound output gadget set as default, i.e. audio gadget, headset, and etc.
It's me!

That's because you have it defaulted like that. You have to change the folder destination.
