i have a "blank" IE page that starts automatically when windows starts,,,how do i stop it?

When i start my windows, a "blank" IE page starts automatically...i dont have anything in my startup programs,,,,ive done "msconfig",,,and de-selected some things,,,ive run an AVG anti virus program which doesnt find anything,,,ive defragged, but this stupid window pops up everytime,,,,Do i have an unknown virus,,,do i need to go buy a new anti virus program,,,any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

That is spyware, get a good anti spyware and get rid of it

You may have spyware or at least traces of a removed spyware. One or moreof your startup programs may have been infected before that it starts IE. It could also be in your registry. Try to do a spyware scan w/ AVG anti spyware. Also do a registry scan. At this point it looks more like its in your registry. Good Luck.

you have virus "lop",or "lundo" it s a real head ache, google it to understand it and diagnose that you really have it if u do, then you will need to restore windows to get rid of it, i hope you back up your hard drive



spyware and avg wont be able to remove it as it duplicates itself on your registry, even in safe mode,

Open activity supervisor (press Ctrl+Alt+Del). click the 'approaches' tab, end all approaches of 'explorer.exe'. Then from the menu, click 'record'>new technique>style... explorer.exe click 'ok' go out activity supervisor and re- initiate. © arou42

try setting something as your homepage. otherwise it's gonna keep doing exactly what microsoft told it to do
