My DVD drive keeps on rejecting CD while I'm burning using NERO 9?

Question

I'm a Window 7 user and I'm using Nero 9

its annoyed me everytime I'm burning CDs, my laptop always rejecting it and wasted almost 10 CD, same situation when I'm burning DVD..

Please Help me everyone.. I really need to burn something, and I don't to waste my money anymore...

Hey you once reinstall your Nero 9.0 software the problem might be because that your Nero might have got corrupted, if it works then its well and good, else try to burn CD provided by another vendor as some times there might be the problem with the CD you are trying to burn, else it would be the problem with your DVD RW, do check it.

These logs are difficult to understand, but yours does show that DMA is off. To turn it on:

Right-click My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager

Go IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, select your burner, right click, select Properties/Advanced & make sure the Transfer Mode is DMA - not P10.



Also:

Right-Click on the drive, go to Properties, then Recording Tab & check the "Enable CD Recording On This Drive" box. Click Apply & OK.



The log also shows "unknown media" in drive. That may mean nothing if DMA is off, but could also be the type of disc you're using. Use DVD -/+R of CD -/+R. -/+RW are rewritable discs.

It may be the brand of cd you are using. I had the same problem. Try waiting until it asks for a cd to burn then put it in sometimes that helps.
