My system doesnt boot,shows PCI.sys file is missing?

I tried installing XP over XP again without formatting the drive installation stopped in midway n now the system is not booting, i tried installing XP again, but it says PCI.sys file is missing, n reboots, whats this errorhow can i load XP again. the safemode doesnt work bcos of the same problem and last good configuration is not working either, pls help

r u having other OS installed on u r PC? if it is the case then u r PC's master boot record may be corrupted.U need to boot from the CD then try to format the partition of u r OS from there.I think This will help u.
