It depends on what you need to uninstall.

In Windows, how do I uninstall programs?

Beginning with Windows 95, all versions of Windows have an Add/Remove Programs control panel that facilitates uninstalling programs. In DOS and Windows 3.1, you were required to manually delete the folders, files, and autoexec.bat and config.sys entries in order to uninstall a program. However, in Windows 95 and later, you are not required to manually uninstall programs, and UITS doesn't recommend it.

The following instructions describe how to use the Add/Remove Programs control panel:

Windows Vista

From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

In Classic View, double-click Programs and Features. If using the Control Panel Home view, under "Programs", click Uninstall a program.

Select the program you want to remove, and click Uninstall. Alternatively, right-click the program and select Uninstall.

Windows XP in the default XP view

From the Start Menu, select Control Panel.

Click the Add or Remove Programs icon.

Select the program you wish to remove and click Remove.

Windows 2000 and XP in Classic View

From the Start menu, select Settings, and then Control Panel.

Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.

Select the program you wish to remove and click Add/Remove.

Using the Uninstall program from the Start menu

If the program you wish to uninstall is not listed among the installed programs, there might be an uninstall program for that item on the Start menu. You can look for such an option by following the instructions below:

From the Start menu, select Programs or All Programs.

Find the folder for the program you wish to uninstall and highlight it.

In many cases, on the menu that appears, you will see an uninstall option.

If the program has neither a listing in the Add/Remove Programs control panel nor its own uninstall program, you might try installing it again, and then trying to uninstall it via the Add/Remove Programs control panel.

If all the above suggestions fail, call the technical support number for the program and ask how you can uninstall it.

As we all know that it is normal to uninstall a program from Add/Remove programs list. But most of the time, some program will not list/be uninstalled from Add/Remove programs or with its built-in uninstaller. At this time, it is very necessary to uninstall it with a professional uninstaller to prevent some left-over files in the drives or registry. Of all the uninstallers I have used, Perfect Uninstaller is the one that I love so much. The "Force Uninstall" function allows us to uninstall programs that are not in the Add/Remove programs list, which is very suitable in uninstalling corrupted program. So wish you good luck!

1) Step one is to click Start on your Windows system and to click Run in the Menu (If you're using Windows Vista then press Win+R on your keyboard).

2) Step two is to type Regedit and Press Enter.

3) On the left side is the registry settings tree, use it to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

4) Inside that key you'll find a lot of keys that belong to different programs. Some are named after the program's name, others as a mix of numbers and letters that makes no sense. Look through each of them until you find one that has the key DisplayName (on the right) with your program's name in it.

5) One important thing is the key UninstallString - this key points to the uninstall program, and the log file usually resides in the same folder as that program.

6) If you delete the key in which you've found the DisplayName key with the value equal to your program's name, then your program won't appear on the Add/Remove program list.

Get the unlocker application, this will allow you to force the folder of your computer. You will find the nero folder in program files.

It's probably running in the background without you noticing. End the process and try it again.
