What is the fastest web browser you can get people have told me Internet Explorer is not the fastest is that true?

Yes, it is true. IE 7 (and all older versions) still doesn't conform to W3C standards, that's why web developers have to jump through hoops to get their sites to appear the same in IE as they do in virtually all other browsers.

It's a vague answer and lots of people will tell you firefox, the speed of your internet browser is based on lots of things but mostly people see firefox as being better because it uses less resources, as does opera. Your actually looking for the most light weight internet browser but with that comes reduced functionality, some browsers operate entirely in text only mode (which also makes them lightning fast).



I'd try opera, I've sent you a link which tests lots of generic things and will conclude that the most generic unusuble internet browser is best a few back from that it will show you that opera is the fastest, whether or not you use this information and go with firefox is your call...

That is true Internet explorer is not the fastest neither the most securer. I think Mozilla firefox is the fastest, i use it and it is very good. There are others as well such as opera and safari, but i still reckon firefox is the fastest
