Fill in forms

Fill in, save, and electronically submit forms easily, even on mobile devices. Start by selecting either the Hand tool or the Select tool. When you place the pointer over an interactive form field, the pointer icon changes to one of the following:

* The Pointing Finger Pointing Finger tool or Pointing Hand Plus tool Pointing Hand tool appears when the pointer is over a button, radio button, check box, or item in a list.
* The Select tool Select tool appears when you can select an item in a list.
* The I-beam tool I-beam tool appears when you can type text into a form field.

Tip: To fill in forms more efficiently, turn on Auto-Complete in the Forms Preferences (choose Forms on the Preferences dialog box).

What should I do next?

The PDF 'form' you have may just *look* like a form, it may not have the fillable boxes that true PDF forms have for you to add info to.

An alternative may be to use the free PDF-XChange viewer, which has a Typewriter tool - it will let you type on any PDF form ('true' or not) and save the changes back to the file.

When I meet the case that need to type in a pdf form, i always try another way - convert the pdf form to word document and fill in the form with word format. Because most pdf files cannot be editable. Maybe you can also use this way.

Good luck.

the completed factor of a PDF is that folk who do no longer very own a PDF editor won't be able to edit it. even inspite of the undeniable fact that the suited editor is relatively Adobe Acrobat expert, it expenditures hundreds to hundreds of greenbacks ... Others, like Foxit PDF editor purely fee approximately $one hundred. attempt to get an ordeal of the two one. ;-)
