Barcode scanner for file tracking system?

Question

Does anyone know of a company that sells software that will enable businesses to track physical file folders using a barcode scanner? And also being able to track the files borrowed and their respective borrowers? (Preferably a UK company).

Any help much appreciated.

There are 2 sets of leads I can pass along ... the first is that a barcode scanner will be most likely used in what's called a "Point of Sale" system, and that's probably where You'd start to look for all the features that can be supported and attached to a particular barcode when it's scanned into custom software.



This is also where You'd get some extra leads toward things like barcode-capable database editing programs that aren't used with cash registers, bt are more for an inventory design.



There are also some basic starting points like major software Mfrs like Quickbooks (Intuit) that are heavily integrated with barcode scanners. They're the 2nd place I'd suggest checking out if the first set doesn't make much progress for You.

I would go with the HTC EVO. Why? I have owned HTC's since 8th grade. I am 16 now and have had three differant onces. The first one was great but i had to change it because our cell service changed. The second was okay (HTC Touch Pro)...i ended up getting it replaced two times though because the screen kept freezing. I upgraded to an HTC Touch Pro 2 and i have had it 9 monthes and it is still great!!!!!! I have just had great experiences with them and i know they are good phones. so for the BQ: HTC Touch Pro 2
