Either you're logged into a limited account, or you have policies set to not allow you to access the tray options.

You need to reinstall again, because the same thing happened to me. But when you do don't put the disk in at first when you start. Reboot your computer and tap your space bar until you get a blue screen then put in the XP disk If will give you the option to delete the partion this will be option L. You will delete this and your reinstall will start.

There are diverse drivers for the conexant clever audio device, so confirm you have the splendid one. the two from the producer or by potential of matching the hardware identification on the device with the driving force. ultimate element to start with, if available, is the unique driving force for the device. i could additionally confirm that the audio device are ok by potential of checking them on a diverse audio resource, and make confident the sound settings interior the administration panel are splendid (default device, stages, etc.).

switch to linux you would not have problems like that. you dont have to scan for viruses or look for silly boxes to show up
