The only way you can "copy" it is to have your hard drive "cloned" in the new computer (i.e. a direct 1to1 image of your old drive will be copyied using a software like Ghost or Drive image to your new drive). Just a copy/paste process won't do.



Or you can search for the install CD and reinstall, so all the files go into their (right) places and the necessary info is written in the Windows' registry.



I would say the first method is best, because it takes just a few minutes and it brings you all the other applications you installed, not to mention also the O.S. and all your personal data and settings! (usualy you can loose any time from few hours to couple of days to make it from scratch).

You can't. Office installs a bunch of crap in the Windows directory, too. You'll have to install a fresh copy of Office on your new PC.

Sounds like you don't have a copy on CD. If you don't then the best thing you can do is download a zipped or iso copy from Limewire.com and email it to your yahoo address. From there you can simply save to hard disk and reinstall

cant do that until you back up your program files folder and windows folder , which is quite an uncomfortable job.



You better back up your documents , excel files ...on a removable media like CD , and install ms office on the new system and then back up your data from the CD

u need to get a black cd and put ms office on it from ur old pc. then after it is on the cd, put it onto ur new pc. easy

Doesn't Microsoft try to stop this? It used to be the role of the data registration, regdat file, perhaps still is.



If you install Linux, say use Ubuntu if you want something easy, you can 'photocopy' your hard disk with the 'dd' command and buggger Microsoft that way.

Get the cd and reinstall. You can't copy it and make it work, I doubt it's possible.
