OSX Yosemite is coming out soon and i run Windows 7 via Bootcamp on my MacbookPro. If i update OSX will i lose my windows partition?

I use both Operating Systems depending on my needs. OSX for media work and browsing work While Windows 7 for gaming

If i was going to update to OSX yosemite, Will my partition be gone? Or will it stay.

MacBookPro 2010 13 inch
Nvidia 320m 256mb
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz
8gb ram (previously 4gb)

Answer :- If you don't know? Apple only support their widgets for 3 years after that their widgets operating systems CAN"T be updated/upgraded, Apple expect their users to upgrade to the latest widgets at great expence be it computers or iPhone. Pad.



Advice :- Install Linux on your MacBookPro 2010 13 inch then it will never be made obsolete, you will always be up2date with the latest operating system Plus the fact that all the software Professional and FREE

Wait until Yosemite is released in a few more weeks.



The early Yosemite adopters will answer your question within a few hours.



TIP: Mavericks didn't break BootCamp, so maybe Yosemite won't either. Fingers crossed...

No. It will integrate, just as Mountain Lion adapted to Mavericks.



Your partition will remain unaffected.

No it will not effect your Bootcamp partition. I upgraded to Maverick and had no issue. Don't worry.
