Transferring Data between two electronic devices .

For Example : Mobile Phone With Computer to manage contacts,reminders,to-do list etc.

during this process computer and mobile will add new files what the other device dont have.

it will be useful when you buy a new mobile this process will get your old mobiles files(contacts, reminders, etc) to the new one through the software provided by the mobile manufacturer.

Synchronizing downloads all postings that are in a particular newsgroup so you can read, reply, and participate in your classes. Synchronizing ensures that you have the latest and most up-to-date information that is in the newsgroups.

There are three options for synchronizing. You can either get all messages, new messages only, or headers only. The first synchronization after subscribing to a newsgroups, we recommend that you synchronize all messages. After that we recommend that you synchronize new messages only. Headers only are faster, but they only download the subject, time, date and who the post was from. To view the content of the post, you have to be online to download the content.

To change the synchronization option for a particular newsgroup:

Highlight the newsgroup on the left-hand side of the screen

Right-mouse click on that newsgroup

Click on "Synchronize Settings"

Select the synchronization settings you want by clicking on it. There will be a little dot to the left of the setting

The next time you synchronize, the setting will be used

Synchronizing means keeping two different locations updated and in 'sync' with each other.

For example if you have a PDA carrying your calendar and your contact book, and you have your laptop where you also have the calendar and contact book, you might want to keep these two updated so that any changes at one place are also reflected in the other automatically.

To achieve this, you need to 'Synchronize' your devices so that both of the devices are updated and have the same information available.

Hope it helps...

having the same information stored on 2 devices. For example, if you have a PDA phone, you can "sync" it with your desktop and all the info is stored on that too. That way, if you lose the data, you have a back-up. You can also access and edit the info on both devices as needed in most cases.

it is like uploading a device's data on the computer as a backup
