Does anyone know where I can get a, fairly cheap, or free program, for making up a menu for my local pub?
Tried it in word, NOT easy.

MS Publisher which comes with MS Office Pro (I think) would be suitable and Free.

Or InDesign from Adobe which I prefer and use myself

Or Quark Xpress which is the competitor to InDesign. Both are the industry standard in the publishing/design and print industry.

Word is NOT designed for doing menu layouts - it is a text document app only.

I beg to differ, if you do not have Publisher, it is easy in Word. Just centre all your text both horizontally and vertically (through page set up), choose a nice font and import some clipart and space out nicely. I teach how to use Word for desktop publishing and its easy peasy.
