My MS Outlook is corrupted not opening at all and I have got very important mails lying there in inbox as well as sent items.

I want to know where are the files locally stored in Hard disk so I just copy paste them and format my computer and when I re install MS Outlook I can restore my original mails.

The mails are very important to me and almost have to work for ages to re-establish the whole mails.

Some one please help me.

Thanks in advance.

All of your MS Outlook mail folders and messages, local IMAP and Hotmail folders and messages, and all of your subscribed newsgroups and messages are stored in one folder called the store root, or store root folder, or store folder, and in at least one place in MS Outlook , the Store root directory. It's default location is

C:\Windows\Application Data\Outlook Express\{GUID}

or

C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{GUID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

If you are unable to view this please unhide system and hidden files/folders by Tools>>Folder Option>>View Tab and unhide system and hidden folders and go ahead to

C:\Documents and Settings\ and press "F3" and search for "outlook" or "Inbox.dbx" it will provide you the exact location

where {GUID} is the Global Unique IDentifier (technical jargon for a unique long number) used to specify an Identity. Depending on your operating system and upgrade history, your store folder might be located elsewhere. To determine the location of your store, click Tools| Options| Maintenance| Store folder.

Try Outlook in Safe Mode Start>Run>outlook /safe and press Enter.

If it opens check your add-ons. Disable Word as editor too.

Searching for your emails will only help if you have personal folders.

I can't help more without knowing if you are getting errors or what happens when you start it up, etc.

i could tend to think of this is purely a unsolicited mail gimmick and permit it take a seat interior the unsolicited mail pile long term... Then it is going interior the process the decontamination technique a month or so later so i will open it, just to verify that definite, that's certainly purely unsolicited mail...

run a virus and spyware scan, if you don't have those get AVG(grisoft), Ad-Aware(lavasoft), and CCleaner for temp files/registry issues, they are all free and should be run regularly to fix or prevent problems.
