Kword, LYX, MS word, open office which is better?

I hate MS word,
I install open office, and it crashed, I delete it.

never use kword and LYX

Personally I haven't use MSWord since the '95 incarnation... LYX is not one I have tried... OpenOffice is the standard in most Linux Distros... but I always remove it in favor of its off-shoot LibreOffice, which tends to run a bit smoother and a tad faster. Abi-Word is another one that is quite light-weight though it does lack a few functions that the larger office suites have.

Open Office, or the later version Libre Office. I have never known either to crash on any platform, so look for bad settings on your machine.

Try something that does not require Java to run on.



WordGraph or QT Writer are great and runs natively on Windows without a problem.
