Question:
sony vegas 12 render problems?
?

So im trying to render about a 10 min video and for some reason whenever I render it, the progress bar gets stuck on a certain percent or certain range usually around 70% and sometimes around 80%. I notice it kinda changes based on what i change in preferences but that doesn't matter. The things I already tried, disabling resample on all clips, changing dynamic preview to 0, changing rendering threads to 1, turning off gpu accerleration, and I believed I changed inside the internal settings in preferences the truth or false options in enable multi render or something like that. This is my first time Im rendering a 10 min video usually my videos are less. I noticed that when I cut part off the timeline off with clips and I render a 7 min video it worked. I noticed around 8 min video thats when the render gets stuck but im pretty sure it has nothing to do with the clips itself. I tried testing the clip where it gets stuck at and rendering only that and it worked perfectly. I don't know maybe my sony vegas or computer just can't render long videos. Im pretty sure its not the clips because there just videos I recorded from the elgato game capture hd which come in a mp4 format. I cut part of the timeline to the part where the render gets stuck and I deleted the rest before that part. Im rendering the part I didnt delete so I can add that part to the clips I deleted and Ill render it all after.specs is hp i7 w8 12gb of ram 2.5ghz and 1tb hardrive. Hope you can find out my problem.

open up Vegas Pro as the administrator.

go to options, then preferences and Turn (OFF) GPU Acceleration.

then apply the setting's and restart the program as normal.

let me know if this helps, turning off GPU acceleration is the 1st method to fixing this problem and works 90% of the time

for most people.

I had the same problem with my Radeon HD 6850 when rendering in Main-Concept .mp4. The renders either got to 1% or 99% and then froze. After many weeks of on and off troubleshooting, I finally found a solution to my problems. I knew it was a problem with the GPU accelerated renders, so I focused my troubleshooting on that aspect. It turns out that if you are on windows 8 (or I believe 7) you can completely uninstall your Graphics card drivers (if on windows 8 DO NOT use AMD's driver uninstall cleaner utility as it will bug windows to the point where you have to do a system refresh.) , reboot and then go to AMD's website and install Catalyst Control Center 12.8 and it's drivers. Then reboot once more and you should have no more render freezes! This worked for me and I can t guarantee that it will work for you, but hey! it's worth a try right??

Try a re-install of the program. Do you have the cracked version?
