if i made a slide show on power point is there any way i can convert it to movie maker and keep all the effects

Maybe you could try creating a screencast while playing the slideshow in powerpoint, it will then save it as a move file. You may need to use the narrate function though if you have sound. Try a program I listed in the sources or google 'screencast'
