I am having problems with changing my windows xp to windows vista?

I have to do this windows vista upgrade advisor and everytime i click start scan.. its scanning and then this pop up comes up every time saying "we could not contact the web service at this time. Either the web service is busy or you were disconnected from the internet. Please check your network connection and try again later. If the problem continues, uninstall windows vista upgrade advisor and reinstall the latest version." and i dont no what to do.. anybodyy helpp? please!

if you have a decent grphic card, a modern cpu and 2 gigs of ram, vista will work fine, there relly is nothing wrong with vista, it's just fashionable for a few idiots to diss it, avoid home basic tho, as it is just that, basic.

I even have had not something yet issues of Vista. I even have an AMD Athlon sixty 4 x 2 twin middle 3800+, 4gb ram, 2 3 hundred gb HDs, and a Nvidia 8800 GTS video card. My device is form new and runs XP advantageous. On Vista my device crashes everytime interior the comparable place. while it says that abode windows is loading it is going into slo-mo and finally crashes. This seems to be particularly a user-friendly occurance once I appeared at some boards. inspite of the undeniable fact that once 3 days of frustration and attempting each and every little thing i understand I offered the OS to somebody who put in it clean and devoid of occurance on the 1st try, and my device is approximately two times as effective as his is. Its difficult to declare why, yet me for my section...i'm gunna wait till the provider packs come out in the previous I even evaluate paying for yet another reproduction. solid luck!

windows vista upgrade advisor works fine for me the only thing it did when first installed was to give me a firewall warning so you may have inadvertently told your firewall to block it go into the program control section and see if it's blocked if it is allow it to use the internet

Believe me, you are better off with windows xp. This sort of erroring is the reason why.
