The Windows 7 Release Candidate is out and soon the full windows 7. someone at school told me it is almost the exact same as the version that will be on sale at official release for alot of money. i bought my laptop in march and spent $150 Aus on getting the newest OS out Vista ultimate. should i dl and install The Windows 7 Release Candidate . is it worth it? im a gamer will it help? is it just as stable as my new vista ultimate? is it going to be like the exact same as the official because i cant afford to buy another OS??

core 2 duo 2.5Ghz
4G ram ddr2
8600mGT DDR3
1680X1050 display

Well, the question is, do you want to spend $200 for the basic version of windows 7?



Oh, the RC free version expires soon.



I don't, so I dropped Vista and loaded Ubuntu and have been really happy that I did.

Wait until Windows 7 has really been used and tested. Have fun with your Vista Ultimate (and I suggest you update it often, whenever updates are available).



It is true that Ubuntu is fast and stable and free, but you are a gamer and I doubt if installing and making your games work decently in that OS will be easy for you.

Windows 7 Release Candidate expires eventually (I forget the exact date), so it cannot be a substitute for the real version.

wow you just wasted 150$ on the worst possible operating system on the EARTH! when you could of gotten ubuntu for FREE! and i wouldnt sudgest any windows os's even windows 7 they all suck! get ubuntu way better http://ubuntu.org
