I have Kali duel booted to windows 10 and when I tried installing a VPN I noticed my source list folder is completely empty. What do I need to do to have all the necessary repositories needed for Kali to work properly?

The source list can either be a file /etc/apt/sources.list or a folder /etc/apt/sources.list.d. If both of these are empty, you might ask for help in the Kali Linux forums, or reinstall Kali, or perhaps copy files from a live DVD or USB.
