How to edit a mpeg video file(mpg) ?

I don't want to convert the video file to any other format, how can i edit an mpeg video file? any softwares pls :( i can edit any other video file but not mpg any help pls

It's widely used and has many options.

Using the "stream copy" option even allows you to cut/merge etc without re compressing.
