This morning I woke and found out that my little sister was upgrading wo windows 10 by herself, without supervision. What happened was the screen went blank nothing was happening and we found out the battery run out so we plugged in the charger and pressed the power button. Then we are directed to the boot manager which says

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem
installation disc
language
repair your computer

no disc=system admin or manufacturer

File:\windows\system32\config\system
status:0cx000014c
info: failed to load because system registry file is missing or corrupt

I have no disc/ cd that I find other people writing about on other websites and in the advanced menu I tried everything from safe mode to starting normally. Weird thing is there is no repair computer option.

Help asap Thanks

Its because it lost power in the middle of upgrading the operating system. Some important stuff got corrupted when it was interrupted. You will need an installation disk or a copy of either operating system on USB to fix it. Otherwise you have a rather expensive paperweight.

Ok if you can still do so backup all the personal stuff and favourites / bookmarks then delete everything in windows/softwaredistribution/download folder - open a command prompt as an administrator by right clicking on it and selecting "as administrator" and then type in wuauclt.exe/updatenow

and hit enter.

When you install do a custom one and turn off all the comms apart from location and fault reporting.

When its all finished download drivereasy it will offer all the latest Win 10 drivers for your hardware - do them all. You might have to reload your printer drivers and make it the default.
