Other programs besides Windows Photo Viewer?

I am doing an assignment and I usually open up my photos through Windows Photo Viewer. However, I am unable to do that now because Window's won't support images that are in RAW file instead I have to convert them to JPEG's. I can't do that because the assignment requires that the photos are in RAW file. The reason I need to open up my photo's is because I need to crop and rotate some photos. What program can I use to support this?

If your camera produces RAW images, suitable software came with the camera (or possibly can be found on the camera manufacturer's website).

I agree with Greywolf that you MAY already have software that came with your camera, my friend, but you might like to take a look at IrfanView, which is a FREE image viewing program, that can do a little more than simply view images. It will allow you to crop and rotate you images too. It will also allow you to save your edited image in RAW format, though I don't know which manufacturer's version of RAW that is.

You can use Faststone Viewer, Picasa or Irfanview. I'm not sure if they'll all open the RAW files from the newest cameras but they are what the rest of us use to view image files that Windows Photo Viewer can't display.

You could use Picasa or go on your phone with these steps:

Plug it in your PC

If its android, allow it to send files or pictures etc.

Click start and my computer

Open your phone

Click SD card (or internal storage)

Find dcim and open it

Click camera and drag the photos to the phone.

Unplug the phone and go on gallery

Find the photo and edit it.
