"Word icon errors" and SVCHOST.EXE and word file is created itself as ".scr" file...help me in this context

Word files affected by Viruses..and showing word icon creation error...and also word files are changed to ".scr file" which cannot be opened again

I would try the free utility from ProcessLibrary.com. ProcessScanner will scan your system and give detailed analysis of all running processes.

What else to do but to disinfect your computer. There's a virus written all over it.

try system restore!!! just make sure that you select a date when the virus has not yet infected your pc
