Where can I download ps/2 compatible mouse driver or HID compliant mouse driver for windows 7?

Somehow.. the ps/2 and HID driver got deleted and now my touchpad does not work.. I went online and looked for downloads but there where none for windows 7.. please help

The best thing about windows 7, is that it doesnt have to be windows 7 drivers to work. I once got windows 98 drivers working on windows 7. What you need to do is go to your computers manufactures website, and download the touchpad driver. Save it to your desktop, right click the .exe, go to properties, go to compatibility mode, and change it to whatever you need to.

Try contacting the manufacturer for the most-up-to-date drivers. Also, sometimes older versions of Windows drivers will work. If you have found drivers for Vista, give them a try. You can also have Windows try to find the driver for you - see source.

If you can’t find the right Windows drivers manually, try this site:

There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it.
