how do I turn an icon size photo into a fullsize?

I know that people have programs/software/tricks to make icon sized pics into or "back into" full-size pics......

A few weeks ago my computer crashed and upon reboot a parenting website I frequent no longer had my login info saved so I used what I THOUGHT was my email address but found an old profile of mine (2007?) w/ a baby photo of my daughter that was uploaded from my deceased cousin in law (??? husbands cousin) and so no copies exist anymore and I thought it was gone forever. Now I have this teeny icon of it and am hopeful I can provide someone with the icon size picture and see if they they can be successful making it big! This photo of my daughter was taken at a family gathering at a bowling alley and not on my camera. It eventually would've emailed it to me but she passed away later that year. HELP!!!!

The details needed to overly increase the size is just not there in such a small image [CSI type photo re-imaging is just a tv myth].You could go into your profile menu and see if a larger image exists within there or look at the host address of the image [right click select properties] and see if its hosted externally i.e. imageshack and maybe theres a way to retrieve a better image from there if a larger version has been submitted.

You can increase a size of a picture with tools like PhotoResize400.exe, but it will become blurry in the process, because the details are already lost. There are special techniques employing fractals to increase photos to 2-3x the original size without it being noticeable, but getting a full sized photo from a small icon is really impossible.

one million. make confident that it truly is a valid icon length (like 32x32). 2. reserve it as a .ico report. (this can make it an icon.) i imagine there are different report kinds to boot, mutually with .bmp 3. Now, properly-click the report or folder you want to apply it for. click on homes. click the personalize tab. next, click replace Icon. 4.click the Browse button, and locate the icon you had to apply. click ok, and also you're finished!
