Ok, here are my list of questions, If you can only answer one, taht's fine, if you can answer more, that's great!

Will all my documents (saved to my computer) created in MS Office 2003 be safe? Can I still open and use them?

I have used these same cds that I am using now to put office 2007 on my new laptop. It this okay?

I need postiive answers so I don't run into a pickle. In other words, I'm looking for someone with experience to answer. Thanks.

All your documents created using Office 2003 or any office 2003 document are safe. All of them can be open under Office 2007.

FYI: To open a Office 2007 document under office 2003 you have to use a the compatibility pack

To install your office 2007 on your laptop, depends on your office version and license. I am sure that:

• Office Home and Student 2007 Retail License Terms allow for installation on three devices.

• OEM License Terms limit the installation to the device on which the software was pre-installed, I am not sure about using it also on a portable device.

• A RETAIL license can be used on a desktop (licensed device) and also installed on a portable device (laptop is included) if it is use by the single primary user

To be sure check your license and verify your License Terms for your product. For this, follow these steps:

• Open Access, Excel, Powerpoint or Word

• Click the Office Button

• Click the Options button for the Product

• Click Resources and then Click About

• Click View the Microsoft Software License Terms

Hope this help

Microsoft designs their stuff to be backwards compatible the best they can. All of your files will work on 2007 and the ones you make on 2007 will work for 2003 (after you install a small patch from their website).

As for installing it on your laptop, most licenses are for one computer not two. I would check your license agreement on the CD to make sure you own more than one. If not, then I would recommend waiting until spring to purchase Office 2010. I wrote a quick review about it based on the pre-release versions:

Should give you an idea of what stuff you will get extra by waiting rather than buying another key right before the next version comes out.
