I have tried a few virtual printers, but they all have bad quality and have the background image as a small tiled image instead of covering the entire page. I also have too many problems when trying it as a PSD file, so I need it saved as an image. (I know about the Print Screen button, but it's a newsletter with multiple pages, so that doesn't work very well).

If you're running this from XP. XP usually comes with the Microsoft image writer printer. you can use it and print to .Mdi or bw tiff. good thing about this is that you don't need to install anything if already on your pc.

You could also try pdf'ing your document. when a word doc is convert to pdf. the format and dimension of picture, text and/other objects are kept at the same size. In addition your entire document if more than one page will be save in one file with the same multiple pages as found in your word doc. if you do not have acrobat distiller, you can download cutepdf which is free.

remember to download the GPL Ghostscript 8.15 for cutepdf to work. it's also found in the same link above.

There IS a way to convert text to an image in Word because I've done it in the past. Just can't remember how right now.

So, take your document and highlight it all, Cut and paste it in Paint and save it as whatever format you want (bmp, jpeg, etc.)

If it asks you if you want to expand the Paint screen to accommodate the file, choose yes. You will then see the document on the area.

Your best bet is to use the .pdf format. If you have Adobe Acrobat one of your printer options is a .pdf file.

Some other software (such as Scansoft's Paper Port) also gives you the option of printing to a .pdf file.

A Google search will show many of free converters on the web. Since I have Acrobat i've never used any of htem.

Sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/) has one, but I've never used it. They're a site I know is safe to download from.

If the whole document fits onto the screen simply press print screen on your keyboard, open a paint program and paste it
