How do I remove a windows install message that keeps trying to load a programme that no longer exists on my p.c ? I used to have a version of Roxio media creator on my desktop computer, I deleted it from my computer to install another one but it has not completeley gone and when windows starts up it is trying to load from windows installer. I have to click cancell lots of times before it stops.

i think you deleted the program not 'uninstalled' it. So it automatically loads up at start. what you need to do is to disable it from running it from load up list . follow the steps

click on starat

then run

then type msconfig

click on startup tab

and uncheck the program i.e. roxio media and restart your computer. i thnik this will help

Try going to the start menu, then run....

- type 'msconfig' without the quotes

- Then you can view start-up processes

- Check if there is anything there for roxio, if there is get rid of it.

That may or may not work. Just a suggestion.
