Do you know of an alternative to nero vision express?

Hey, I have a serious problem, I always use Nero Vision Express to make my home DVD's. However lately it has been freezing during the burn process for days at a time.

To make matters worse I have a school assignment due by Monday that has to be handed in on DVD. Does anyone know of a completely free alternative that serves the same functions as nero vision express. I need to know fast. Thanks in advance.
