is there a way to make all of column A divide by all of column b and the answer fills all of column C..
But here's the kicker.

I don't have the data yet, I just want the function to already fill the columns so when i input the data in the first two columns--it automatically shows the answer in the third (without me having to insert the function every time.

Please help.

at cell C (type and the following):

= /

*if you notice the cell selector there is a SQUARE at the BOTTOM... put your mouse cursor and if you see the cursor became a + sign, click and drag it downward...

it will automatically copy the formula have set and do the computations for you until yous stop dragging.

Excel auto calculates by default. As long as you have not changed the default to manual all you need to do is put in the formula you need in column c

If you just want one from each column. Put a1/a1 in cell c1 and copy that formula all the way down column c to where you need. Excel will change the formula to use the corresponding cells in column a and b as it is a relative formula.

If you want all of column b added then divided into a1 put a1/(@sum b1..b12) in c1 for example you input the cell range in column b you have to sum it for that equation.

expensive the respond is extremely ordinary.... the respond is sheet1 and sheet2 sheet1.a1+sheet2,a1 you could connect different sheet via this formulation table one in the sheet1, table 2 is in the sheet2 sheet1,cellular no + sheet2.cellno you may persist with this formulation in sheet2.
