Hi!

I suggest you the following softwares below:

1) Kaspersky Antivirus 2007/08 (with database updated)

2) KLM 32 codec pack for Windows Media Player (To play al the formats of audio and video files)

3) default windows registry editor!

4) Kaspersky Anti-virus can also perform disc cleaning very effectively.(so..no need of any other cleaners !)

I hope I have helped you more!

If you found my answer interseting, plz do rate-up my answer!

After you reinstall your windows xp or vista, you need good software.

If I were you, I would buy one program and use for the rest you need freeware. The program I advise you to buy is

TuneUp Utilities 2008. It has 15 different programs

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/TuneUp-Utilities.shtml

TuneUp 1 click-maintenance

TuneUP Disk Doctor

TuneUp Disk Space Explorer

TuneUp Drive Defrag

TuneUp Registry Editor

TuneUp Repair Wizard

TuneUp Rescue Center

TuneUp Shredder

TuneUp Strart Up Manager

TuneUp Styler 2

TuneUp System Control

Tuneup System Info

TuneUp System Optimizer

TuneUp Undelete

TuneUp Uninstall Manger

The good thing is, that the 30 days trial are without any limitations, so you can try out everery program

When you had to buy these programs seperately it would cost you hundreds of dollars

For anti virus I would install

Comodo anti virus

Comodo anti malware

Comodo Firewall Pro

http://www.comodo.com/

Anti Spyware

Spyware Terminator

http://www.spywareterminator.com/

Registry and cleaner no need when you install TuneUp

But just in case

http://www.ccleaner.com/

http://www.freewarefiles.com/Glary-Utilities_program_34666.html

Media player

Gomplayer. It is free and can play any file type and no need to download and install extra codecs etc.

http://www.gomplayer.com/whatisgom.html

For playback of music WinAmp. The best there is

Antivirus: I recommend Avast, check out my first source.

Registry: I like CCleaner, also, for uninstalling, Revo Uninstaller is really good, after you uninstall, it searches for and removes anything left over (2nd and 3rd source).

Cleaner: like a defragmenter? I like Auslogics disk defrag (4th source).

Codec: K-Lite Mega Codec Pack or combined community codec pack (which comes with a media player) (5th source).

To ycareabout2mor, avseq001.dat isn't a DVD report, it relatively is a video-cd report like the OP mentioned (study the question correct!). those records (800mb+) as AVI's will not extra wholesome on a 4.7 DVD and elect twin-layer discs with a view to be written back to DVD. So it can not 'in basic terms be written to DVD making use of Nero'.
