Recently I converted my removable HD from NTFS to FAT32, some of the Chinese named folders and files all become ????
I tried to run WinXP scandisk and it fixed the filename problem (it said), but the file name are still in ???-1.mpg, ???-4.doc...
I can't rename, open or even delete them, How can I fix them?

FAT32 file systems do not support Unicode, which I believe would be a necessity for Chinese characters. I don't believe that you will be able to have Chinese names in your new FAT32 HDD.

It's still odd that you cannot rename / open / delete them, though. Does it give you an error message? Is it an external drive? If so, do you have it mounted read-only?

My advise is to reconvert your removable HD back to NTFS which is by far the better filing system anyway. If that doesn't cure the problem, your screwed!
