I have 2 computers and I have the same edition of Microsoft Office 2007 on them both - in fact I used the exact same license (Microsoft lets you install it 3 times). The weird thing is that the fonts on both my MS Word programs are completely different from each other. This is frustrating because when I make a document on one and send it to the other computer to print it I have to pick entirey new fonts and it doesn't look as nice as it did on the other. Does anyone know why MS Word did this? Is there a way to get all the fonts to be the same on both?

There are various reason for this behavior:

• You are using different printers

• The font isn't install in the other computer

To resolve this:

1.- Using different printers

To make sure that you are using the same printer driver in Word 2007, follow these steps:

• Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Print.

• In the Name box, click for the same printer name in both computers

• Click Close to close the Print dialog box.

If you need to use different printers or the above didn't work then:

2.- Use embedded fonts (If you don't own the other computer) .

Embedding a font is the technique of bundling a document and the fonts it contains into a file for use in another computer. Embedding a font guarantees that a font specified in a file will be present on the computer using the file. Not all fonts can be embedded. Only TrueType and OpenType fonts can be embedded.

Remember when you embedded a font, the document size increases.

To embed a TrueType font in a saved document in Microsoft Office Word 2007, follow these steps:

• Click the Microsoft Office Button.

• Click Word Options.

• On the Save tab, click to select the Embed fonts in the file check box.

3.- You could also copy the fonts from one computer to the other (If you own the other computer).

You must be logged as an administrator.

To make a copy of the font:

• Open Windows Explorer.

• Navigate to the folder C:\WINDOWS\Fonts. (Where C:\ is the drive where you installed windows)

• Right-click the file with the font's name you are using and click Copy on the shortcut menu.

• Browse to the folder that contains your document.

• Right-click and click Paste on the shortcut menu.

The font file appers in the directory and you can send it with the file

To install the font on the other computer:

• Open Windows Explorer.

• Browse to the folder that contains your document and font.

• Right-click the file with your font's name and click Copy on the shortcut menu.

• Navigate to the folder C:\WINDOWS\Fonts.

• Right-click and click Paste on the shortcut menu.

The font is installed on the system.

Try going to the control panel. Under "Display" - make sure that they both read the same.

If you have Vista - on the left side of the control panel - it has "font size" - set it at what you want. Do the same on both computers.

If you have XP, it would be under "display" - just make sure that both computers read the same.

I hope this works for you.

I have the same problem! I think they give each download the same basic default fonts, but the extra fonts might be random! I dont think there is a way to fix it, bu you might be able to buy a font software!
