What document file management system software, do media companies and office departments use the most. I have the Word document filing system but Im unorganised and all of my files are in a mess.Could you please recommend a good software which helps you organise document files properly.At work all they use is Microsofts Documents.

If you are using the windows,you can easily organize your files on your own.

I mean it is pretty easy,fast and accurate.

Most important thing is to analyse what you need for,each folder.(etc school,job,financial).Then everything is easy enough!

I think the most difficult thing sometimes is to analyse what it is your are handling. What documents do you work with? Why do you work with them? What do you search for when looking back at previous documents?

Should it be by Project, or Customer, or Department, or Colleague, or what?



Document Management systems can help, but they still require a structure to be defined. So I think your first must be to design a sensible structure. Having done that, you may find you don't need document management after all!
