Media player has encountered a problem and needs to close. It's the same with every other players like real player, Media classic or VLC. Sometimes when browsing through different folders in my disk drives, a msg also shows up saying Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. I've scanned my pc with AVG antivirus scanner and no virus was detected. What gives?

The main CAUSE most prob is an incorrect version of the Wmpui.dll file is registered on your computer. This may occur when you install some third-party programs.

do this step...

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, register the correct Wmpui.dll file again: 1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK:

regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\wmpui.dll

You receive a message that is similar to:

DllRegisterServer in C:\WINNT\system32\wmpui.dll succeeded.

3. Click OK, and then start Windows Media Player again.

mostly (95%) will solve your problem.....

or download this dll application file from here and install the above folder... it will ask to replace click ..ok

connect your computer to the internet. and open the windows media player. and if it is appear error. send it. and they will give the option for this matter. if not . download the latest kaspersky internet secutiry and install it on your pc. after activate 30 days triyal and update it. do full system scan. some times it will remove if there is any viruses or spyware. if not find the operating system cd which you installed. and do system repair. it will surely fix your problem. good luck and have fun.
