What are you using? I have trouble rarely. I'm using Linux. If you're using Windows I've heard there is a great program called Nero. I've heard that when you use it the sky opens up, trumpets blow and birds sing. Aren't you glad you haven't heard everything that I've heard?
Seriously, it is not free (as in beer) software but I've linked to both their web page and a tutorial on how to use them to burn isos. If you are using Linux I recommend typing man cdrecord or man wodim.
