Download Open Office from Openoffice.org it's rather large, but it will provide you with software that looks a lot like Microsoft Office Suite, and the program Open Office Presentation will enable you to edit and create slide shows.
Long live open source software!

You can download a demo version of Office 2007 at www.office2007. It only works for 60 days. Any version of office contains PowerPoint or buy the Home and Student 2007 version at a local electronics store for about $149 or less if on sale.
Beware of web sites that say you can download PowerPoint for free since it probably an illegal copy.
Or you could go to www.openoffice.org and download OpenOffice 2.0 with is a public domain version of Microsoft's Office. Impress (openoffice version of PowerPoint) can create and read Powerpoint files {although it may not be 100% compatible}.
Hope this information helps,
David

You did'nt download powerpoint, rather, you downloaded the viewer.
You can download the trial version, it is limited to a few days. Get it here:

I would spend a couple hundred bucks on the full version.

Although it isn't actually microsoft powerpoint, it is compatible with it and it is free...legally.
Go to openoffice.org and download their version of powerpoint for free.
