If I type this paper at home and put it on a flash drive will I be able to print it on any computer or will I need Microsoft word on that computer?

Would I be better off to just email it to myself and print it like that?

You do need to have an app like word or word- open office will open it as well.

If that computer doesn't have word or a program that will open word files then no. BUT if you have a PDF Writer or Microsoft XPS Image Writer on your computer (they both appear as printers when you click print) then you should be able to open them on any computer with a PDF viewer or Internet Explorer.

as long as the other computer has a program to open it, you can print it anywhere. chances are, you have it in a .doc format. microsoft word and open office can both open them. i think appleworks can open it as well. if you need to convert it: either save it in a different format (.txt, .html, .pdf) .txt can be opened on almost any computer. and .html can be opened in any internet browser (internet explorer, firefix, safari, opera, etc). if you already have it saved on the drive and youre at the other computer, you can go to www.media-convert.com and convert the file to whatever you want
