it was a free copy of photoshop--didn't open/work.

I am going to buy it because that was a bad idea...of course. Now the copy item won't let me delete it.
If i try it comes up with an error message of

"Cannot delete setup.exe.
Make sure that the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use".

I think the setup refers to the code/key thingy... how can i get this off of my comp, i have tried looking in add or remove programs it doesn't come up, it is just in the 'my downloads' folder
Help!

Reboot your PC then try deleting it - it sounds like it is still actually trying to install & is therefore locked.

If no longer, click initiate, click run, kind cmd. you may see a black demonstrate screen with a C:> it is your C: tension. Write down the itemizing the record is in on paper. If the record is on the C: tension, below domicile windows as an occasion, you may kind this on the black demonstrate screen with the C:>cd domicile windows, then press enter. that would take you to your domicile windows itemizing, and the black demonstrate screen could now teach, C:domicile windows> certainly the cmd command is DOS. Microsoft for some stupid reason, has tried to make computers DOS unfastened, so a techniques they have failed at that. Dos is greater effective than domicile windows. this is basically that maximum folk did no longer very own a working laptop or computing gadget or decide for to returned then, because of the fact DOS substitute into no longer something yet that black demonstrate screen that got here up once you typed cmd. So gates desperate to certainly combine DOS and domicile windows 3.a million, subsequently you have domicile windows ninety 5, or junk. the rationalization you go with for to be in CMD is as a results of the fact in DOS you could delete something you go with for, and it will stay deleted. in the past you load CMD, i could write down the call of the directories of the place this record is first, then flow into CMD, on the C:> you may kind, cd, then press enter, to alter directories, dir/p to teach you each and all of the directories on the complicated tension, and then use the command, delete filename to delete the record. If the record is on the D: tension, kind D: then enter to alter to the D: tension. additionally use the command, cd, to returned out of a itemizing.
