You will need different partition for the XP installation. Make a different partition first with your VISTA.

You need to make partition. Vista has an option to resize its disk volume. Have a look at this http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/resize-a-partition-for-free-in-windows-vista/
Resize the voulme of the disk and make enough space for installing XP. Then start installing XP with the CD. When it asks where to install, choose the newly free space you got after resizing the disk. Have fun!

Just use Virtual Box. You can run XP inside vista, and it is completley free just google virtual box, it will be in the first 1 or 2 results. It is made by sun microsystems.
Email me at aminy23@gmail.com if you need any help with that.

No. There is no downgrade path from Vista to XP. You need to format the drive and start over clean.

There are several ways to do this...
Check out the following two links and choose to follow what suits you the best
Well, yes, but it depends on what you mean. If you already have an EMPTY partition, one that already has an NTFS file system type on it or you can use some type of virtualization software, like VMware.
