How do I get rid of this stupid vertical line in MS Word 2010?

There's a picture of it here: http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/7636/linec.png
I've been pasting together documents and it just appeared.

Not too familiar with word, so I don't even know where to start. When I hover it, an "up-and-down" arrow appears, but I can't right click, only move the line up and down, and when I do, it doesn't stay in the new place. This is so weird! Please advise!

That is an auto insert that Word does at times. They can be a real pain to get rid of.

Usually you have to highlight everything from a line or two before the line to a line or two after the line and delete everything. That will normally get rid of the line. Then you retype the couple of lines of text.

hmm i think its just an "underlined" sentence. Click "home" in MS Word. Then near the area of the fonts is a small button labelled "u". Beside it are the Bold and Itallic buttons which are "b" and "i". Highlight the sentence and click the "u" button, or click Control+U at the same time

through fact the lines are gray, i've got faith there is something happening on your checklist's header - do the lines look darker in print preview? in the event that they do, it fairly is a great clue. opt for View, Header and Footer and notice what's in there!
