How do you remove items from the right-click menu on Mac OSX?

I've recently downloaded the new Mac App Store and i've noticed that a lot of the apps i'm downloading are adding items to the right-click menu. This means that when I right-click a folder or file in the Finder there's a bunch of items at the bottom saying "open file in text wrangler" and "scan with virus-barrier express".
How do I get rid of these as it won't be long until my right-click menu is packed full of them. i noticed that if you download text wrangler from the official site and not from the app store it doesn't add the right click menu, but then you don't get the automatic updates etc that the app store offers.

Somebody with the same problem! I'm also searching for a solution to this. The Mac App store is not using the standard "~/Library/Contextual Menu Items" directory (or the file system root alternative location).

I would almost just live with this, except that there is a noticeable lag when I right-click items in my browser. Very maddening.

.. and Mr Install Linux can go shove it. Just because one of my machines has OS X on it doesn't mean you get to preach to us about how intolerant you are. If you aren't prepared to give any usable information relevant to this issue, then move along, you troll.

You ask to run classic OS on a working laptop or pc that won't be able to run classic OS aside from one way, Sheepshaver, after which you're saying "Please, no sheepshaver." Do you notice the issue right here? purchase an iMac G3 for $40 9, link decrease than. sell the iBook to somebody who would not choose for to run classic video games.
