20 POINTS: how do I completely remove spyware doctor ?

I downloaded the free version so that I could get rid of another program (but it made no difference and just added to the problems) -the other program is gone -but it's this stupid spyware doctor that won't uninstall from the start menu or from 'add remove programs'

Is their any other way? -best answer gets 20 POINTS

1 find the file that supports the spyware. (go to your start menu and go to "search". do a search on the name of suspected spyware.)



2 delete it, it'll probably have an error message, if it does then go to the task manager ( ctrl, alt, del) and go to processes find the suspected spyware and end process.



3 go back to the file and delete it. it should go away with no problem.



If that doesn't work then use an antispyware software.

Here is a way to manually remove it.



1. Ensure that you have fully exited the application. To fully exit from Spyware Doctor please right click on the Spyware Doctor icon in the notification area (next to the clock on the Windows taskbar) and select Shutdown from the menu that appears. Please also close any instances of Internet Explorer or other browsers.

2. Perform an uninstall of Spyware Doctor from:

Start > Programs > Spyware Doctor > Uninstall Spyware Doctor

3. **IMPORTANT** Make sure that the Spyware Doctor folder (which by default would be under 'C:\Program Files') no longer exists. If the 'Spyware Doctor' folder still exists, please delete the folder.

4. Select Start>Run

5. Type in regedit and click OK

6. Please locate the following keys and remove them:



HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PCTools\Spyware Doctor

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PCTools\Spyware Doctor

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\Spyware Doct



This will ensure that Spyware Doctor has completely uninstalled from your system and you will be able to do a fresh install for Spyware Doctor.

> After installation complete Restart your PC

> Uninstall (Spyware Doctor)

Perfect Uninstaller is a better solution;)

Right click any file of spyware doctor and Fore Uninstall it.

It's the best uninstaller I've used.Hope it makes sense.

Why not simply do a system restore and then get yourself a decent antivirus program and Super Antispyware. You're very generous with your offer of 20 points, but 10 is the maximum!

hello.. just search the windows for spyware doctor and just shift delete all files. and dont forget to end all spy doc tasks from task manager.. it worked for me. so it would work for u too.. best of luck
