No whether that's common adequate to create a macro to try this and then assign a shortcut key to that macro. In Excel press ALT+F11, this could improve a seen common Editor (the place macro's are saved). optimistically on hte left hand pane you will see something noted as VBAProject(very own.XLS). strengthen that, strengthen Module. in case you have not have been given any modules suitable click on the VBAPRoject bit and choose Insert Module. Double click on the module to activate it. on the main appropriate hand window you will see a sparkling website. reproduction and paste right here into it. Sub MergeMe() ' Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+M With determination .MergeCells = authentic end With end Sub Now. close the VB editor and return to considerable Excel show screen. bypass back to kit>Macros and click on the play button. A popup window could look. seek for "very own.XLS!MergeMe" interior the record and click on it as quickly as to opt for it. Then click on the strategies button. yet another pop-up could look (it is the place you are able to specify the shortcut key) click interior the little field next to CTRL+and then opt for the keys you opt for for to be the shortcut. I held down the SHIFT key and M for mine. then click on ok and the cancel. All being properly, once you opt for a non-stop variety of cells and press CTRL+SHIFT+M the cells could merge. solid success playstation once you go out excel it is going to prompt you asking in case you opt for for to maintain adjustments to private.xls - SAY definite.

if control end takes you to the very end of the spreadsheet it means there has been data in there at some point (maybe you copied and pressed control down and pasted quickly and then deleted the content).

If you physically delete all rows after the end of your data then you should be able to use control + end successfully.

(tip to do this go to the first blank row after your data and click on the Row Number highlighting the whole row, then press Control+shift+DownArrow then right click on any row header which has been selected and select delete).

Control End should now work again.
