I have a mailing list that has duplicate entries in it - how can I remove them easily?

Your data in column A. In cell B1 type
=IF(EXACT(A1,A2),"Duplicate","")
Copy down to end of list then sort both columns ascending. Filter column B on Duplicates then delete filtered list rows. Remove filter, select column A and sort ascending to remove the blank cells. HTH

Excell will offer you options for sorting your list. Suggest alphabetical for mailing list, then you can see if the same name is duplicated.

Best way is to sort your data so that the duplicates are together and then you can just right click on the row address down to delete.

You can select individual entries, by holding down the control button and select the items you want to delete.
