I just got a new laptop that has Windows 7.

I want to get Microsoft Word 7 so I can type and work on my English.

Why does the "ultimate steal" come with so many other programs and won't they slow down my computer since its so much?

And what is this with a CD for $13?? And a product key??

All I know is that by searching I have found that the website and product is legit, so I might get it. I just want to know more about it.

Any information will help, the more the better, and I would really appreciate if you are a student like myself and how you like the "ultimate steal"

Thanks!

I can confirm what Aaron has said above - the ultimate steal is REAL and you should take advantage of the offer as long as you are a student. You have the option of not installing certain components.

Microsoft Word has always been a part of Microsoft Office.

Microsoft Office Ultimate is the everything-included edition of Microsoft Office unlike Microsoft Office Home and Student which has only four components.

The offer proves that the Microsoft Corporation has the interests of America's young people at heart and is not simply a profit hungry commercial organization that many people consider it to be.

Even the Home and Student edition mentioned would be a bargain at the price stated

The Ultimate Steal is real, I have used it myself last year to get microsoft office 2007 on my laptop last year. However it is only available for college students in the US and select colleges in the UK. You MUST use your college e-mail account when filling out the order.

Those program don't slow you down any more then the Microsoft office trail. Actually programs themselves don't slow the computer down when they are not running.

As for the cd, it is an optional backup you may have if you wish to install it off a cd instead of downloading it from the internet.

To put this very simply, YES. If you are a student and you need MS Office, this is too good a deal to pass up.
