Hi, I run windows 8 on a toshiba satellite with an i7 processor, 16gb or ram, 1tb hard drive, nvidia GT750m graphics card and harman/kardon sound system. All in all a decent off the shelf laptop. I have had it for just over a year and i need it for work specifically for graphics and 3d modelling.

I am now panicking like crazy because I don't want to use it for work incase it crashes. It has crashed about 4 times. The first two times the BSOD appeared, the second two times the laptop just froze. It has done this when im not even really using it, watching films (VLC), listening to music (youtube) etc.

I have done a full virus scan and found nothing. I also dont have many programmes on here. The most recent programme I have installed is kaspersky anti-virus 2015 and since doing so I have had this problem. (legitimate digital download from their site)

Should I unistall it and reinstall it? or is there another fix/problem I should explore? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

I did a search on google for you and found that most of these are caused by drivers.. as to which driver, you'd have to look in your minidump files... while i love kaspersky, since it was the last thing you installed/changed.. it's the most likely suspect. uninstall... restore back to a time before you installed,, run it for a few days to be sure all is well.. then try again... if it persists,, I'd suggest posting to the kaspersky forum

I am having the similar problem with my Toshiba Satellite P75-A7200. I also use my Toshiba only for 3D modelling and calculations. I have web root anti virus from Best buy. I installed a free antispyware some months ago. But this problem and the blue screen just happened recently. How can I fix it? I appreciate your suggestions.

I am having this problem. My computer is an Hp, and the last thing that happened to my computer was that the computer its self installed updates, as well an update to the AVG security. Should I delete the AVG or just try to do a reset it to the former settings?
